The Sanibel Fireplace

This custom fireplace surround was commissioned for a private residence in Sanibel, Florida, designed to hold personal meaning for the client.

I used hand picked shells, including ones collected by the client and her late sister. Heat manipulated crushed capiz shells and resin. Every element was thoughtfully placed to blend personal storytelling with seamless composition.

This one-of-a-kind fireplace serves as a striking feature, making it one of the most meaningful projects I’ve had the honor of creating.
