Great design is about harmony—how each element in a space contributes to an effortless flow. This 36” x 36” commission for a Naples, Florida residence, designed by Calusa Bay Designs, was a collaboration built on that same principle. The goal was to create an artwork that felt organic and dynamic, seamlessly integrating with the home’s refined coastal aesthetic.

The installed artwork

Bringing Movement to Life

The piece was inspired by my previous Wave artwork, reimagined at a larger scale to command presence within the space. Using individually selected screw shells, I arranged them on a classic linen backer to create a rhythmic, flowing composition. Every shell placement was intentional—building movement, depth, and texture that subtly shifts to create a circular composition.

Framing and Installation

To complement the overall design, the artwork was finished in a silver floater frame, adding a refined touch. The piece was then installed by Calusa Bay Designs, who curated the space with their signature approach—layering textures and materials to create an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere.

The Final Touch

Seeing my work come to life in a thoughtfully designed interior is always a rewarding moment. The balance of natural materials, and movement in this piece reflects everything I love about my craft. Captured beautifully by Amber Fredericksen Photography.
