Some commissions are about making a statement, while others are about adding a thoughtful, personal touch to a home. For this private residence in Winter Garden, Florida, the client wanted a pair of artworks that felt distinct yet complementary. The result? Two 54” x 12” pieces, each with its own identity but designed to work together within the space.
The Vision
The client requested one of my signature Hydrangeas designs, known for its soft, organic floral texture. For the second piece, they wanted something different drawing
inspiration from an older artwork of mine called Ercole. This design features shells arranged in half-curve formations, creating a long, serpentine-like shape that flows across the surface.
The Process
Both pieces were crafted with the same level of detail and precision. The Hydrangeas artwork required careful placement of each shell to mimic the layered, delicate structure of hydrangea blooms. Meanwhile, Ercole was about rhythm and movement—arranging the shells to create a continuous, undulating pattern that guides the eye.
Installation & Final Look
The artworks were installed in the foyer just off the kitchen, where they add texture and interest to the space without overwhelming it. While each piece has its own distinct composition, together they create balance—one soft and intricate, the other structured and flowing.
