Some artworks are meant to stand out, while others are designed to bring a sense of balance and harmony to a space. For this private residence in Riverview, Florida, the goal was to create a piece that felt soft, organic, and effortlessly tied into the coastal feel of the bedroom.

The Vision

The commission was for a 70” wide by 18” tall artwork in my signature Hydrangeas design. Placed above the bed, it needed to add texture and depth without overpowering the room. We chose a classic linen backer to keep the look refined yet natural, and a float mount frame to give it a clean, polished finish.

The Process

The Hydrangeas design is one of my most detailed works. Each shell is placed by hand, mimicking the layered look of hydrangea petals. The process is time-intensive but so rewarding—watching the composition come together piece by piece until it forms something soft, full, and dimensional.

The Final Look

Once installed, the artwork brought everything together. It complements the coastal aesthetic of the bedroom, adding a subtle focal point that feels light, airy, and organic. The texture of the shells catches the light beautifully, creating just the right amount of contrast against the wall.
