Pinch Me: I’m in The Cottage Journal

Coming home from vacation is usually a blur—laundry, unpacking, catching up on emails. But this time, something special was waiting for me on the doorstep. A glossy envelope. My name on it. Inside? The Summer 2025 issue of The Cottage Journal—with a four-page feature on my work.I stood there in the entryway, suitcase still in hand, flipping through the pages in disbelief. Seeing my art in print… It was one of those quiet milestones. The kind you dream about, but don’t expect to actually happen.

Every time I pass the magazine rack at Publix now, I can’t help myself—I stop and check again. Am I really in there? Yep. Still there. Definitely a “pinch me” moment.

I even sent a copy to my family back home, with a little Hungarian translation tucked inside. I know my mom will proudly show it to anyone who walks through the door — and honestly, that means just as much as the feature itself.

I’m so incredibly grateful to The Cottage Journal team for including me. It means the world to see my work and story in such a beautiful publication.
